autumn seraphina's shawl

It's done!

But my first encounter with the Seraphina's Shawl was in the summer.  I wanted to crochet this one as a gift for my mother-in-law.

I thought I'd finish it off in Algeria, but I ran out of yarn!  So I went out looking for some.  I found nothing!  Embroidery cotton, yes.  But no wool or acrylic yarn.  Those would be available at the market in autumn, we were told.  So I came home and started again!

Here it is again...

In it's entirety.

It was a little chunky but after blocking, it opened up a bit.  I hope she likes it!

Edited to add: I've only just realised that I haven't linked to this lovely pattern! Here it is!

Assalamu'alaykum,

Masha'Allah I actually like the second version much better. I'm sure insha'Allah she'll love it.

Kind regards,

Umm Abdulrahman

Masha'allah. It's beautiful. I love the colors. I am sure she will love it.

How long did that take you to crochet?
Just curious...

Assalaamu Alaykum,

Yep, I think I prefer this one to the first one too!

Umm Nidal, I did it in bits really. But if I had just worked solely on this I might have finished it in a day or two.
