p...p...p...pick up a potholder

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

I love learning new stitches.  I also think the best way to do it is by making something at the same time, rather than just swatching!
Something quick and functional?
A potholder.

Or two!

It's a great way of trying out different colour combinations as well!

They look fantastic! Are you planning to use them or hang them on the wall?

Thanks girls!

May, so glad you stopped by. I've been a fan of yours for a while now! I too like the turqouise and red combo.

Kate, I don't know! What would you do??? :P

Rima, you have some great colours going on at yours. You've thrown in a cute baby too so that's even better :D

Hi, I am trying the pattern but do not understand the instructions that say: "FPDC aound the ch 3" or "FPDC around the same DC". I understand that means front post double crochet, but don't understand the "around" part - any tutorials/pics that anyone knows of??? THANKS!

Maggie,

The vertical bar of the stitch is the "post". Usually you'd make the stitch into the top of the dc of the round before. BUT when doing a FPDC, you make the stitch around this vertical bar. Its called "front post" because you go around it from the front to the back, then around the post and out to the front again.

Let me know how you get on and I'll try and post about it properly if you have any problems.
