craft bazaar
Last week we stopped by at a Craft Bazaar, here. But it was no ordinary craft event. Everything on sale was made by children with mental disabilities.
Visiting the centre was also a great opportunity to discuss disabilities with the kids.
They even had this on display.

My sister has just changed jobs but for years she worked in a school for children with varying degrees of cerebral palsy. Craft was a very big part of the many therapies used as it allows the children to achieve something 'real'. She introduced the children to finger knitting which was great for the ones who have difficulties using tools.
