6. know your roots
Vibrant colours of Asia
East African equatorial climes
Walks to the library
Spicy hot currys and biriyani
Tropical fruits
Bustling London streets
Quieter suburbs
Saturday morning children's television
Flowing sarees and salwar kameez
Poetic Swahili
Sweet ladoos and burfis
Frostbite
Tea, toast and breakfast cereals
Expatriate communities
Wooly hats, scarves and leg warmers
The Red Sea
Are some of the roots I've grown from.

I also wanted to let you know that the Trochet project was blogged about on one of my favourite crochet blogs: Crochet Concupiscence! Thank you Kathryn!

I love your colourful roots, makes mine seem so mundane...

Some lovely photos - very colourful!
mashallah so much colour....I think that it's all too easy to forget who you are when you move so far away from your home...so something like this is really good...just as a reminder!
it's also really cool to look at too!
What a rich and diverse background you have! All of the photos are lovely, but I particularly like this first one and the lovely colors and designs on the carriage.
W are made of soooo much!
