my creative space ...

... is about something new and challenging - knitting the continental way!  It's quite tough and fiddly right now but there's the challenge.  I wonder how long it takes to master it and get slick with sticks.  Any tips on continental knitting by continental knitters would be much appreciated! By the way, I'm starting and possibly ending my continental knitting endeavours with this lovely washer.

... something familiar and relaxing - I'm carrying on with the 2010 CAL!

... and let's chuck some wire hangers in too and see what happens!

More creative spaces here.

Baa-Me Kniits April 15, 2010 at 9:53 AM

My neighbour knits the continental way and she is so fast.....she hates watching me 'struggle' with my needles as she says. Maybe I should go back to school like Kirsty?? I think that is in the to-hard basket. What are you making??? Can't wait to see :-)

I know what you mean Jenni, it seems like a bit of a chore to learn a new method. I'll just give it a go and see. I might just go back to hook projects only!

The blue yarn you are working with is beautiful - one of my favorite shades. I am more of a hook girl - no advice, sorry, about how to be slick with sticks!

What are the hangers for? I'd love to learn to knit but I just love crochet too much. The washer is looking gorgeous too. Have a great weekend.

I love your blog! Gosh you make so many lovely things. You seem to be doing a great job with your knitting, I just don't get how to do it. We seem to have quite a lot in common, four children, crochet, sewing, I think I'll enjoy coming to visit you. How wonderful to have met you through our swap.
