my creative space - yarny-ness

After some creating in the kitchen,

I seem to have taken to my double-pointed needles again! Surprise surprise! And that Norwegian purling is great stuff!

I was crocheting something for myself. I got the lovely cotton at bargain-price ma sha Allah thanks to Ravelry. But then I ran out and somehow ordered extra balls of this ...

How did I do that?

Now (thanks to Ravelry again) I'm waiting for the right colour! But in the meantime, the crocheting needn't stop. There is some more cotton to play with

and some paper too!

It's really soft. I have no idea what I'll do with it. Any suggestions?

More creative spaces here!

Nice knitting! Love both colours actually. I was thinking how funny it would be if you made a dress out of the paper yarn and then getting caught in a rain shower!! Oh how funny that would look!

Mmmm .... Have no idea what to use paper yarn for. Obviously nothing washable. Crochet some flowers maybe for decorations but I'm definately intrigued by this one.

Paper, wow! I've never seen that before...very creative of someone...I wonder if it would crochet into lovely white snowflake Christmas ornaments or for a little garland?

Jessy, that yarn has been sitting in my yarn box for so long! I think it will become my first pair of knitted socks.

Deros, I like the ruffle scarf pattern. Maybe I can make that with my other, green cotton!

Sarah, thanks. Lol! A paper dress?!?!

Fiona, yes I was thinking along those lines. Or even decorations for stationery.

Carol, yes, I came across it by chance really and thought, "Why not?" It's unusually soft though and more like the paper in wet wipes, if you know what I mean!

I love it all!
I hope your yarn arrives soon. There is something quite wonderful in wearing your own creations.
